They were lovingly won at the school Carnival by Emma and Grant:
We brought them home right away, set up a home for them, and went to Walmart to buy some food:

I hate those silly gold fish. Jasons favorite stop at the carnival by far! He won one as well, his name is Tony. He is still alive, but he never moves (and we feed him beta fish food). So I don't have high hopes for him!
Go buy them a real fish from Wal-Mart! :)
I am so sad your fish died, but I can't figure out why I am giggling! Maybe it was Grant's cute "up to something" smile!
My tip is to buy the most simple yellow/orange one you can find so when it dies (& it will) you can replace it without them noticing. I

I am glad it wasn't too tramatic for them. It looks like he is actually having fun. I know the feeling though, our fish never last very long. Ironically, we have a frog that we haven't fed for months and it continues to live. You just never know!
That has got to be a record...even the Butikofers never killed their pets so quickly. ha ha. So you should go get some more fish...unless you decided to try a rabbit. :)
